Benefits Of Natural Skincare Products

Benefits of Natural Skincare Products

Happy Wednesday Everyone,

I have to start off this message by saying THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. The messages I received after last week’s newsletter/blog were incredible. The thoughtful words, generosity, and complete and total support means more to me than you will ever know. I felt like I had entire cheering squad on my side saying, “GO Rachel! I am so proud of you!” It brought me so much joy. So, thank you, thank you!

How are YOU? How are you doing?? So much is happening around us and although I am not in the treatment room with you right now, I am still thinking of you. Those conversations we have, that I so truly enjoy, can still continue. I am still here. Please reach out and let me know how I can still be of service to you.

My goal, as an esthetician, has always been to bring joy to my clients—through my services, through our conversations, and through providing a safe space to just be. I only hope that is something I have achieved, at this point and going forward, I will continue to do so.

Product Feedback

There is so much fun, yummy stuff in the works, as far as products go, and I want to hear what you are loving, what you aren’t loving so much, and what you still would like to see added to my collection. For those of you that have tried the “new” Refine mask, fill me in! I would love to hear what you think, so far.

So many clients have purchased one of the newest additions, Solara Suncare, and I would love to hear how you think it compares to other mineral based, natural sunscreens that you have tried.

Your BEST “anti-aging” product you can use daily is your sunscreen. Honest, to goodness. You can spend all of your money on incredible skincare products, but you are wasting it by not protecting your investment daily with a quality sunscreen. Order yours today!

Why Natural Skincare?

Right now, natural skincare products are definitely all the rage, which I am SO grateful for. It wasn’t always that way though! About 12 years ago, I was introduced to the world of organic skincare and I was immediately intrigued and hooked. Something “clicked” and it just made so much sense to me.

During that time, and for many years after, clients would say things like, “I need chemicals to really get the full benefits from my skincare” or “I don’t really think natural ingredients work.” I knew that thought process was far from true, but it would take a bit more time for the majority of people to come around.

Fast forward and here we are now- the majority of consumers are aware that what you put on your body has an effect on your body as a whole. Your skin is not a separate entity. As the largest organ in your body, it absorbs all of the things.

It still amazes me (and infuriates me!) what ingredients are allowed in skincare products and that we, as the buyers, have to be educated on what things to avoid. WHY are these ingredients even allowed?? Fortunately, there are so many options out there now- from hand soap to lotions and facial cleansers to eye creams, to make it a bit easier to avoid those harmful chemicals.

Something that stuck with me at one of the trainings I attended, back when I was first introduced to all of this, was that your body and skin recognize natural ingredients. Your body understands plants and herbs and knows how to process and use them- to allow your skin to get the full benefits of them- which leaves less waste. This means that when you have products with fillers or synthetic ingredients that your skin does not recognize, you aren’t left with much benefit to your skin- no matter how much money you spent on it. Just some food for thought!

I came across this quote by C.S. Lewis recently and it resonated with me- for so many reasons. I hope it does for you, as well.

“You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.”

Thank you for reading.

With so much gratitude,
Rachel
