Checking In: How Are YOU Doing And How Can I Help?

Checking in: How are YOU Doing and How can I Help?

Hello friends!

I want to see how you’re navigating today, so I am checking in. This is a time of uncertainty, but try and remember that social distancing does not mean social isolating. It’s an opportunity to be present with our loved ones, organize or do a little spring cleaning, and get outside to enjoy some fresh air. It’s also an excellent time for self-care.

At this time, I am still unsure as to when I will be reopening. I will at least be closed through April 24th, as the public schools are closed until that point. I will be in touch weekly to update you and bring you tips and tricks to keep your skin in tip top shape!

I care about your wellbeing and emotional state, so I want to offer these simple tips to take care of yourself during these uncertain times.

Products

Remember that product you bought from me, but perhaps it is still sitting under your sink or in your medicine cabinet? Get it out!! Now is the time to use it. If you have forgotten how to use it or have any questions regarding it, please reach out to me.

And if you are running low on products, I am more than happy to ship it or do a front porch drop off—if I can swing it. That will get it to you faster than Amazon can deliver it :). You can order on my website and use my 10% off coupon SELFCARE.

Lockdown Load Up

So, is anyone else dealing with “lockdown load up???” Locking down at home and loading up on carbs, sweets, and perhaps a few happy hours. Yup, I am too. It is normal to indulge during stressful times and I give you complete permission to do so!!

Until we find that balance and “healthier” ways of managing stress, here is an easy beauty hack to deal with puffy eyes, which you will almost always wake up with after an evening of indulging: put your eye cream in the fridge!

Not only does the cool sensation just feel good, but it also says “goodbye” to those puffy eyes! Dawn Lorraine Eye Lift Cream is a fabulous one to help with puffiness, fine lines, and dark circles.

Essential Oils and Baths

A lovely way to elevate your mood is to diffuse or spray some essential oils in your home. The ones that I love for this are lavender, sweet orange, peppermint, bergamot, or clary sage.

Another at home remedy is to take a bath! Put in your favorite bath salts or oils and just relax. If you have pink Himalayan salt on hand, add some to your tub. It can improve sleep and help with detoxification from that “lock down load up!” :)

“Turn Off” Your Mind

Another great way to rest your mind is to take a break from watching news or social media. Hearing about the pandemic repeatedly can cause more stress and anxiety which isn’t good for your body, mind or SKIN!

Instead, get caught up on your favorite shows that make you belly laugh, call a friend who will lift your spirits, or spend time with family playing board games, or doing a favorite in our house—having dance parties!

During trying times, make time for self-care, love, and the outdoors. Enjoy a little sunshine and some Vitamin D—it is so good for the mind and the soul.

And of course, if you skin is starting to show signs of stress, please feel free to reach out to me. While I may not be able to see you for a few weeks, your well-being is so important to me and I would love to help you in any way that I can.

With so much gratitude,
Rachel

P.S. Leave you brows alone, don’t pick at your face, and wash your face before you go to bed! :)
