Make The Changes - Small Or Big

Make the Changes - Small or Big

Happy Wednesday,

Well today is the day! It is the last day in my room that I have been practicing in for the past 5 years. I am so grateful for what that 10x12 space has given me and what I was able to provide for my clients in that space. I am ready and open to what this new chapter will bring. With all the daily changes going on around us and the unknown of what the months ahead will bring, I am staying positive about what I can still provide outside of that space, for now- until I find a new home. Thank you for your continued support through this process.

RFE Product Highlight

This week, I wanted to focus on a very, very popular RFE toner - Awaken. Honestly, this product was a little slow to take off when I first launched it almost two years ago. The base of this toner is apple cider vinegar and some people were turned off by the thought of that. However, once they tried it and realized the incredible benefits that ACV (abbrev. for Apple Cider Vinegar) have on the skin, they were hooked.

I feel like ACV is one of those things that you have to have in your “the world is ending” kit- if you actually have one of those!! That and baking soda seem like they can pretty much cure, heal, clean, and conquer all!!

ACV is so fabulous for your body and skin. It has antibacterial, anti-fungal, and antiviral properties and if there was ever a time we needed an arsenal like that, it’s now, right?!!

ACV has Acetic Acid and Alpha Hydroxy Acid which both help to exfoliate, absorb excess oil and “unplug” blocked pores. It also can balance pH levels which keeps your skin in its “happy place.”

Aside from ACV, Awaken has Frankincense to protect skin cells from pre-mature aging, Melissa to boost overall skin health, and Clary Sage to enhance the anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties and balance the body. I have had clients tell me that it has helped to heal sunburn, irritation from seasonal allergies, and to help with oil control. If you are looking to easily boost your daily regimen, this is a fabulous addition!

Vote with Your Dollar

I am not talking politics, but I am talking about knowing where your money is going and what you are supporting when you make your purchases- no matter what they are. From clothing to cleaning products and skincare to furniture- it all makes a difference. Where you spend your money is a powerful way of supporting local communities, fair wages and a healthier planet. This is something I am trying my best to pay more attention to. The cheapest and fastest does not always (nor does is usually ever) equate to the best for our planet or our community.

There are a few ways you can do this. Do your research to find companies, big or small, that have adopted green practices. Buy from your local stores (online or brick and mortar) whenever possible, even if it means you spend a few dollars more, because it will help them keep their doors open. Look for “certified fair trade” labels because you are supporting fair prices for farmers and better working conditions. Support a business that is owned by women or people of color to build a more inclusive economy. These are small steps you can take to make a huge difference in supporting your neighbors, our planet and our country, as a whole.

My quote for the day is something that I think applies to this and to what I hope to accomplish by making changes in my life, in my home and in my future work space.

“Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself."
- Rumi

Make the changes. Small or big. They all add up.

As always, thank you for reading.

With so much gratitude,
Rachel
