Transitioning Your Skincare Routine

Transitioning Your Skincare Routine

Happy Wednesday!

I am writing this from my new work space which, for now, is right next to my children’s new “classroom” and although it seems surreal, it also feels really good. However, the girls now think they can poke around through my lotions and potions which is okay...for the most part!

What is so sweet though, is that the girls have put little signs throughout my “space” that say things like, “great job Mommy” and “I am so proud of you.” Sometimes you don’t realize just how much you impact the people around you- especially the little ones. They are always taking it all in- the good and the bad. I just have to hope the good sticks!!

RFE Update

The website revamp is underway and the new products are being finalized. Wahoo!! So much excitement going on in my world right now. Stay tuned in the next month to hear and see all of it make its debut. As always, your feedback is super helpful. If there are any changes or new products you would like to see added, please contact me.

There is a bonus that will only be offered to YOU - people who receive my newsletter and/or follow my blog. Drum roll.......I am going to send/give a surprise “gift with purchase” with any order over $50, from now until Labor Day. Supplies are limited and you won’t know what it is until it shows up at your door. I will give one hint though - it might help a bit with the COVID blues...

Transitioning Your Seasonal Skincare Routine

As summer slowly starts to wrap up (I know, I know - I honestly have a hard time admitting it out loud too), you may start to notice some fluctuation with your skin. Maryland’s summers tend to stretch well into September, but we do start to see the cooler nights, at least.

With the fluctuation temps comes fluctuating skin “issues.” Sometimes people will see breakout, or dryness and even rough, patchy areas. My best advice to you is to not go crazy switching back and forth with products. You can slowly change over to your “cooler weather products” but don’t do it all at once.

Perhaps start with your moisturizer and alternate a lighter one with a heavier one until fall really sets it. You could do the same with your cleanser, as well. If you have slacked on exfoliating or masking, just adding that in once a week will make a big difference. Overhauling your routine overnight never ends well. Approach your skincare regimen with a “less is more” outlook and your skin will thank you for it.

I hope today’s quote makes you chuckle and is also a reminder that you are making an impact- whether you know it or not - every...single…day.

“If you think you’re too small to have an impact, try going to bed with a mosquito in the room.”
- Anita Roddick

As always, thank you for reading.

With so much gratitude,
